Artist Statement

My work is rooted in live performance and the use of voice as a real-time practice. Through vocal improvisation, I work with attention, listening, and responsiveness—allowing sound to emerge in relation to the space, the moment, and the people present.

I approach performance as a shared environment rather than a fixed composition. The room, the audience, and the conditions of the moment all shape how the work unfolds. Sound and silence are both active elements, used to hold attention and define the experience over time.

Alongside live work, I develop recordings and other forms that extend this practice. These include audio pieces, spoken explorations, and ongoing formats that track thinking, perception, and process as they happen.

Across everything I make, I’m interested in how voice and sound can organize experience—how they create structure, hold presence, and allow something to take shape without being fully predetermined.
